Tamir Car Rental - Renting conditions:

  • Rental day period:One rental day is 24 hours (or part of it) from the time of pickup. Returning the rental car an hour late or more, will be considered as another rental day.
  • Minimum age for rental: 26.
  • Gasoline: The customer will be charged to fill the gasoline tank if the tank is returned less than full. The customer is responsible for ascertaining the correct gas type. Filling the tank with the wrong kind of gas will obligate the customer for any damage incurred.
  • Driving in Israel: requires a valid Driving license: The costumer has to have a driver's license valid for the duration of the rental.
  • No Pickup/Drop-off on Saturdays or in Eilat* (except to/from the airport).
  • Driving abroad: Exiting Israel's borders or entering the Palestine National Authority is absolutely forbidden!
  • Delivery service: pickup and drop-off, at the customer's home for any rental of 4 days.
  • Pickup/drop-off at Ben-Gurion Airport: includes a charge of $27 for port taxes (one-time payment).
  • Excess insuranceThere is up to a 600$ deductible in case of damage to the car. Excluding damage to the wheels and lower part of the car.
  • Tamir Rent a Car Ltd supports the fight against smoking. Smoking inside the rental cars is forbidden.

  • Second and Third driver: There is an addition of 3$ for a second driver. The cost to add a third driver and more is $2 each per day.
  • GPS: 14 $ per day ,Maximum 150 $ per month.
  • cellular telephone: can be provided ,for a nominal fee of 10 nis per day ,maximum 100 nis per month. Outgoing calls will be charge according to calls that were made.. Incoming/outgoing calls will be charged to the customer's account.
  • Vat: Only tourists who own an Israeli passport will be charged with VAT (16.5%) on all rental components.
